Asuelimhen Appointed to Lead PDP Youth Campaign Council
Ahead of the Edo State gubernatorial election, Clement Asuelimhen, the Chairman of Igueben Local Government Area, has been appointed to lead the 144-member Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Youth Campaign Council.
Asuelimhen, in his new role, is tasked with spearheading the mobilization of grassroots support for the PDP’s gubernatorial candidate, Asue Ighodalo. This strategic move aims to sustain the party’s influence in the state.
The Youth Campaign Council, with Asuelimhen at the helm, is dedicated to ensuring the election of Asue Ighodalo as the next governor by engaging and energizing the grassroots. Sylvester Aigbokhae will serve as the Secretary of the Council, working alongside Asuelimhen.
Olawale Idris, the National Secretary of the PDP National Youth Group, released the list of council members. He emphasized that this initiative aligns with the group’s mission to advance the ideals of the PDP.
“In line with our Mission and Objectives, and the utmost responsibility of advancing the ideals of the Peoples Democratic Party, the PDP National Youth Group announces a 144-member Youth Campaign Council to deliver PDP’s Asue Ighodalo (AI) & Osarodion Ogie in the forthcoming Edo Gubernatorial Election. Members of this Council are required to embark on a ‘Get The Votes For AI’ Grassroots Campaign in their respective Local Government Areas,” the notice stated.
Additionally, Prince Muh’d Kadade Suleiman, the PDP’s National Youth Leader, Elder Tim Osadolo, the PDP’s Deputy National Youth Leader, and Sheriff Junior Oborevwori, the son of Delta State’s governor, were named as Patrons of the Youth Campaign Council.
